Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna has recommended Justice B.R. Gavai as his successor. Justice Gavai is likely to be sworn in as the 52nd Chief Justice of India on May 14, 2025.

The position of Chairman, ITDC has been vacant since March 2024. Dr. Sambit Patra held the post until then. A Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Tourism is holding the additional charge of MD, with a further extension granted for six months from October 11, 2024.

Ankur Baruah, Executive Director, Oil India Limited has been appointed as Director (Human Resources), OIL till superannuation on 29.02.2028.

Suprakash Adhikari, Executive Director, NHPC Limited has been appointed as Director (Technical) in NHPC till 31.08.2028.

In Bihar, IAS Harjot Kaur has been moved to the Forest & Environment Department. IAS Safina A N is the new Magadh Commissioner. IAS Prem Singh Meena and IAS Bandana Preyasi have also been transferred. IAS Mihir Kumar Singh and IAS Kundan Kumar have received additional roles.
