NFL employees pledge a day’s salary to PM CARES Fund

New Delhi: The employees of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) have contributed a day’s salary amounting to Rs 88 lakh to the Prime Minister’s citizen assistance and relief in emergency situations (PM CARES) Fund to fight the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country. Prior to this, the company had already contributed an amount of Rs 63.94 lakh under corporate social responsibility (CSR) towards the PM CARES Fund for the same objective. With this, the total amount contributed by the company to the above fund stands at Rs 1.52 crore.
The news was shared by NFL’s Chairman & Managing Director (C&MD) Manoj Mishra on Thursday, after consulting the employees’ unions and officers’ associations. “With 3,419 employees in the company, it makes a contribution of around Rs 88 Lakh,” he said.
