NHDC celebrated Independence Day at Corporate Office

NHDC Limited celebrated the 76th Independence Day of country with great enthusiasm on 15th August, 2022 at Corporate Office, Bhopal. The flag was hoisted by Vijay Kumar Sinha, Managing Director of the Corporation in the presence all officials and staff saluting the Tricolour National Flag followed with National Anthem collectively. While addressing to the employees on this auspicious occasion, Managing Director, NHDC applauded the Freedom Fighters & Martyrs for their unforgettable sacrifices for our nation. In continuation, Vijay Kumar Sinha also shared the Company achievements with the employees and encouraged them for the future challenges and opportunities. Further, he congratulated the employees, as in the gracious presence of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, NHDC has done the contract with the agencies for the development of 88 MW Solar Project in Omakreshwar Reservoir and in addition to above, the corporation has won the bid of developing 8 MW Solar Project in the cultural heritage city Sanchi. The Managing Director appreciated all employees as ‘Hydropower Warriors’ for showing their commitment & dedication for continuous Hydropower generation under adverse circumstances leading Madhya Pradesh State as ‘Atmanirbhar State’.Vijay Kumar Sinha emphasized on unity and integrity of people in the view of strengthening our nation socially as well as economically. On the occasion of 76th Independence Day, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India has introduced a national campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga” in which all employees of the company an their familiars had participated in large count. On this occasion, a musical event full of patriotism was organized in which the singers with their mesmerizing performance won the audience’s attention. At present, two power stations of NHDC Limited, Indira Sagar Power Station (1000 MW) and Omkareshwar Power Station (520 MW) are operational in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh state. 100% of power generated from the two power stations is supplied to the state of Madhya Pradesh.
