NHPC limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Govt. of Rajasthan during the ongoing Rising Rajasthan Investor Meet on 30.09.2024 at New Delhi with an investment plan of Rs. 50000/- Crores. The MOU envisaged development of Pumped Storage Projects, Renewable Energy (Solar/Floating Solar/Wind) Projects and Battery Energy Storage System in the State of Rajasthan.

The MOU was exchanged between R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC limited and Alok, Addl. Chief Secretary, Energy Department Govt. of Rajasthan in the august presence of Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister for industries & Commerce, Govt. of Rajasthan. Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC and Rajat Gupta, Executive Director (SBD&C) were also present during the MOU signing.
