(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) Shimla, February 24, 2025 – The Second Sub-Committee of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language conducted a comprehensive review of Hindi implementation at NHPC’s Chamera Power Station, Chamera-III Power Station, and Parbati-III Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.

The high-level inspection meeting was led by Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, who played a pivotal role in presenting the progress and initiatives undertaken by NHPC to promote the use of Hindi. Accompanying him were the Head of Department (Human Resources) from the NHPC headquarters and the respective Power Station heads, who provided detailed insights into their language implementation strategies.

Under the leadership of Uttam Lal, NHPC has been actively promoting the use of Hindi across its offices, ensuring compliance with the Government of India’s official language policy. His dedication to fostering a Hindi-friendly working environment was appreciated during the review.

Prior to the meeting, the Parliamentary Committee examined the Hindi-related activities at the power stations through an exhibition showcasing NHPC’s efforts in official language implementation. The committee acknowledged NHPC’s commitment and efforts under the guidance of Director (Personnel) Uttam Lal, emphasizing the importance of continued progress in linguistic inclusivity.
