ONGC conferred Stevie Awards for Great Employers for COVID-19 response In another major glory, Energy Maharatna ONGC won a prestigious international award – Silver Stevie Awards for Great Employers as the Most Valuable Employer – Asia Pacific in the COVID-19 Response category. ONGC will be receiving the award in a virtual ceremony to be held on 7 November 2020.

Added just on 7 May this year, this special (Covid response) category of the prestigious awards was created to recognize the contributions of HR individuals, teams and entire organization for working valiantly over the past months to keep employees safe, healthy, employed, paid, and informed during the pandemic.

The Stevie Awards for Great Employers is an international business awards competition, which is participated by several organizations worldwide. The awards recognize the world’s best companies to work for and their HR teams, professionals, achievements, new products and suppliers, which make organizations great places to work. The Stevie Awards for Great Employers is among a set of eight business awards competitions staged annually by Stevie Awards Inc. They were created in 2002 to recognize accomplishments and contributions of companies and business people worldwide.

This year, over 700 nominations from organizations from 23 nations were evaluated and the winners were determined by the average scores of more than 90 professionals after over three months of observing. About 47 per cent of the total nominations were adjudged Stevie Award winners of 2020.

Energy Maharatna ONGC has taken several measures to keep its employees (both current and retired) and their family members safe during the pandemic, while maintaining steady exploration and production of Oil & Gas. Apart from standing by its own employees, the energy major has also carried out several initiatives as a part of its Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) to thousands of pandemic-affected in the time of crisis.
