Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for POWERGRID’s transmission system strengthening at Kurnool-III Pooling Station, aimed at integrating additional renewable energy projects. The ₹2,886 crore initiative includes constructing a 765 kV double-circuit Kurnool-III–Chilakaluripeta transmission line and enhancing transformation capacity by 6,000 MVA. The project, inaugurated in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Konidala Pawan Kalyan, and other dignitaries, will facilitate large-scale renewable energy evacuation, bolster grid stability, and support sustainable growth, marking a significant step in the nation’s clean energy transition.
