PM Lays Foundation Stone for NTPC’s ₹9,791 Crs SSTP Project in Chhattisgarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for NTPC Limited’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (1×800 MW) in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh. This significant initiative, with an investment of ₹9,791 crore, aims to supply affordable and reliable power to Chhattisgarh and other beneficiary states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Goa.
The Sipat Stage-III project will utilize state-of-the-art Ultra Supercritical technology, enhancing fuel efficiency and reducing emissions, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability. Upon completion, this 800 MW unit will increase the total installed capacity of the Sipat Super Thermal Power Station to 3,780 MW. The project is strategically designed to meet the increasing power demands in the central region of the country.
NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power utility, is committed to advancing the nation’s energy infrastructure through the adoption of advanced technologies and eco-friendly solutions.
