Jodhpur/Balotra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded a landmark visit to Rajasthan on Friday, inaugurating the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launching the Modified UDAN scheme, aimed at further strengthening regional air connectivity across the country.
Following the Jodhpur programme, the Prime Minister travelled to Balotra’s Pachpadra, where he dedicated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a wide range of development projects worth approximately ₹1.06 lakh crore. The projects span key sectors, including energy, infrastructure, transport and public utilities, and are expected to significantly accelerate Rajasthan’s economic growth while generating employment opportunities.
Addressing a large public gathering, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to infrastructure-led development and highlighted the transformative impact of major investments in improving connectivity, industrial expansion and public services across the state.
The visit marked one of the largest development initiatives announced for Rajasthan in recent years, underscoring the government’s focus on creating world-class infrastructure and boosting regional development.
