The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a one-year extension in central deputation tenure of Reshma Reghunathan Nair, IRS (IT:2011), Director in the Prime Minister’s Office. Her tenure now stands extended beyond 19 January 2026 up to 19 January 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Vipin Kumar gets deputation extension
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of Vipin Kumar, IFS (2013), serving as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office. His tenure has been extended for one year beyond 4 January 2026, up to 4 January 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Amit Kumar re-designated as Director-level PS
The competent authority has approved the re-designation of the post held by Amit Kumar, IAS (BH:2012), as Private Secretary (Director level) to the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. The change, personal to him, takes effect from 1 January 2026 and will continue up to 20 August 2029 or on a co-terminus basis.
