Gurugram, September 16, 2025: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has paid a final dividend of ₹574.35 crore for the financial year 2024-25 to the Ministry of Power, Government of India. With this, the total dividend, including interim dividends, disbursed by the company to the Government of India during the year stands at an impressive ₹4,297.40 crore.

The cheque was presented to Union Minister of Power Manohar Lal by POWERGRID Chairman and Managing Director R. K. Tyagi, in the presence of the company’s Directors, marking yet another milestone in the enterprise’s journey of financial discipline and value creation for stakeholders.

As of August 31, 2025, POWERGRID has significantly strengthened India’s transmission infrastructure by commissioning and operating 286 substations, more than 1,80,864 circuit kilometers of transmission lines, and 5,77,331 MVA of transformation capacity. By leveraging advanced technology, automation, and digital solutions, the company has been consistently delivering superior performance, maintaining an average transmission system availability of over 99.84%.

The latest dividend payout underscores POWERGRID’s strong financial health and its continued contribution to nation-building by ensuring reliable and efficient power transmission across the country.
