PRESIDENT OF INDIA, SMT. MURMU INAUGURATES NBCC BUILT “KAUSHAL BHAWAN”

Kaushal Bhawan is a state-of-the-art office building equipped with modern facilities and amenities befitting the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s mission to foster its initiatives across the Nation. Located in New Moti Bagh, New Delhi, Kaushal Bhawan was inaugurated by President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu on 24.01.2024 in the presence of Dharmendra Pradhan, Cabinet Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship,Rajeev Chandrashekhar, MoS for Electronics and IT, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Jal Shakti; Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC, Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), NBCC and other senior officials from Government of India and NBCC. Expressing his happiness on this occasion, Mahadevaswamy briefed President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu that Kaushal Bhawan has been designed in such a manner to accommodate and support the existing trees. The main attraction of the office complex is a over 80 year old majestic banyan tree with a girth of 7 meters, serving as a focal point and enhancing aesthetic appeal of the surroundings.

The auditorium in Kaushal Bhawan has a capacity of 240 seats. Covering an area of 1.354 acres, this 7 storied building has a built up area of over 23,000 sq. m and a seating space for around 700 persons, was built at a cost of around Rs.150 Cr. and has a parking capacity of over 200 cars. The solar power system (30 kilowatts peak (KWp) capacity) installed in the building of reduces reliance on conventional power and contributes to environmental sustainability. Besides, LED lights throughout the premises and automatic occupancy sensors are installed, ensuring that lights are turned off in unoccupied areas. Keeping in view the welfare of employees, there is space for gym and yoga offering fitness and wellness activities and the facility of a crèche.
Kaushal Bhawan also features, a rainwater harvesting plant with a capacity of 55 m3 which efficiently collects and stores rainwater, promoting sustainable water management within the building an advanced sewage treatment plant (STP). The STP has a capacity of 90 KLD along with a water treatment plant of similar capacity.
