PTC India and MAHAPREIT Join Hands to Accelerate Green Energy-Infras Dev.

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| New Delhi/Mumbai: In a notable step towards advancing India’s clean energy transition, PTC India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAHAPREIT (Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd.), a subsidiary of MPBCDC Ltd., Government of Maharashtra, to jointly explore opportunities across a wide spectrum of sustainable energy and infrastructure initiatives.

The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both organizations in renewable energy, green infrastructure, energy storage systems, green hydrogen, energy markets, power portfolio management, regulatory advisory services, and other sustainable energy solutions. The collaboration is expected to contribute to Maharashtra’s green growth ambitions while supporting India’s broader energy transition goals.

The MoU was formally executed by Bipin Shrimali, IAS (1992 batch), Managing Director of MAHAPREIT, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PTC India Limited. Dr. Deepak Kokate, Executive Director of MAHAPREIT, was also present during the signing ceremony.

The strategic alliance brings together MAHAPREIT’s focus on renewable energy and infrastructure development with PTC India’s extensive expertise in power trading, energy markets, and advisory services. The collaboration is expected to identify innovative business opportunities and develop sustainable solutions that can enhance energy security, improve efficiency, and promote environmentally responsible development.

Officials noted that the partnership will facilitate the exchange of technical expertise, market knowledge, and institutional capabilities, paving the way for future projects in emerging sectors such as green hydrogen and advanced energy storage technologies.

The MoU reflects the growing emphasis on collaborative efforts between public sector entities and energy sector leaders to drive investments in clean energy and support India’s commitment towards achieving net-zero emissions and sustainable economic growth.
