It goes much deeper as it highlights two very important but oft neglected issues – women’s emancipation and gender equality. No society can call itself truly progressive and developed, if its women are not given equal opportunities to participate and show their worth.

Let us celebrate this spirit and pledge that each one of us with fair access to means and opportunities, help at least one woman who is less privileged in whatever way we can. Let us consciously work towards raising the status of women, considered to be symbol of Shakti, in our country.”
