R Prakash & V Vikash appointed DIGs in CBI, tenure for Kamal & Khare extended

Two senior IPS officers, R Prakash and Vidyut Vikash, were appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the CBI on Wednesday.
Prakash, an officer of the 2008 batch from the Odisha cadre, has been appointed as DIG for an initial term of five years, according to a Personnel Ministry order.
Vikash, who is currently serving as the Superintendent of Police in the CBI, has also been promoted to DIG. His tenure will last until February 18, 2025, as per another official order.
Additionally, the tenures of two other DIGs, Neethu Kamal and Abhnav Khare, have been extended by two years. Kamal, a 2008 batch IPS officer from the Chhattisgarh cadre, will continue in her role from March 26, 2025, until March 25, 2027. Khare, a 2009 batch IPS officer from the Karnataka cadre, will serve from March 23, 2025, to March 22, 2027.
