Rajeev Jain, Executive Director is going to takeover as Managing Director, NHDC limited on 01st August, 2024. Rajeev Jain is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Allahabad University, after which he started his professional career in NHPC as Trainee Engineer (Civil) in the year 1989 at Chamera-1 HE Project, Himachal Pradesh. During his career span of over 35 years in NHPC & its subsidiaries, Rajeev Jain has progressively scaled new heights and has been promoted to the post of Executive Director on 01st May, 2024 and now taking over as MD, NHDC on 01st August, 2024. During his tenure, Rajeev Jain has worked with perfection in various fields and has played significant role in the commissioning of Chamera-1 HE Project.

During the commissioning he has done an exemplary work in Dam & Power House. In addition to above, he also played an important role in the land acquisition work in Liaison Office, Pathankot. During his posting at Corporate Office, Faridabad while holding the post of Senior Manager, in the Planning Department, he was selected as Chief Engineer on deputation in Navratna Company, REC. He successfully executed diverse works like CSR-SD works, PMSG and Vigilance in NHPC Corporate Office. In Kishanganga project, he has served in township and challenging dam site Gurez and HRT works. He has also played an important role in promptly completing years long pending works for early commissioning of the same. He has worked as Chief Engineer in NHDC’s Omkareshwar Project and as Head of Vigilance Department in NHDC Corporate Office, Bhopal. As in-charge of Dhauliganga Power Station since the year 2022, he led the reconstruction work after the flood disaster.

Rajeev Jain did his schooling at Sainik School, Kapurthala. At the age of 17, due to his excellent discipline and leadership quality, he led the NCC Cadet Regiment in the Republic Day Parade in Delhi on 26 January, 1982. Rajeev Jain has always been a dynamic personality being socially active, working in various capacities apart from being visionary, good spokesperson and always been a good administrator.
