NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company, has announced that Rajendra Prasad Goyal, its Director (Finance), has once again been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). Effective from July 1, 2025, this assignment comes on the directions of the Ministry of Power, reaffirming the government’s confidence in his leadership.

This is not the first time Goyal has held the company’s top post. He previously served as CMD from March 1 to August 7, 2024, steering NHPC during a critical period with characteristic poise and professionalism.

A member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a Master’s degree holder in Commerce from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Goyal has built an impressive legacy of financial stewardship.
