REC CSR projects worth Rs. 2.34 Crore inaugurated in Arrah, Bihar

R K Singh the Minister of State (IC) for Power & New and Renewable Energy inaugurated CSR projects undertaken by REC Ltd. (Formerly Rural Electrification Corporation) worth Rupees 2.34 Crore, in Arrah (Bhojpur Dirtict), Bihar, through video conferencing on 16th September 2020. There were a total of 28 schemes, which included 13 schemes for P.C.C. Construction of roads, 11 schemes for installation of LED/ Solar and high mast lights, 4 other schemes for general public viz. construction of boundary wall in Gaushala, construction of shed in Mahavir temple, renovation of Arrah’s fish market and construction of new class rooms and boundary wall in Mohanpur Primary School. The main objective of the project is to improve and provide basic infrastructure & developmental facilities in the villages of Ara block in Bhojpur district. S. K. Gupta, CMD,Ajoy Choudhury, Director (Finance), R. Lakshmanan, IAS, ED from REC Limited shared their thoughts on the occasion. Other district officials, public from Arrah were present during the occasion. The event was graced by Shri Amarinder Singh, and Sanjay Singh Tiger,Ex MLAs who addressed the gathering at the occasion in Arrah. Other prominent leaders like Prem Ranjan Chaturvedi,Rajeshwar Singh, Hakim Prasad,Vijay kumar Singh and Suryakant Pandey were also present at the occasion. All social distancing norms were followed during the event.
