Seminar on Cyber Investigation & Digital Forensics Concludes at MP Police Academy

Bhopal, January 30, 2025 – Under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police (Training Branch & Police Academy, Bhopal), Ms. Sonali Mishra, a two-day seminar on Cyber Investigation and Digital Forensics was successfully organized at Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhouri, Bhopal. The seminar was attended by 42 police officers, including Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, as well as cyber experts and digital forensic investigators from various districts. The primary objective of the seminar was to provide insights into modern techniques for cybercrime investigations and digital evidence analysis.
The seminar was inaugurated on January 29 by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajeev Tripathi.On the first day, State Cyber Cell experts Dharmendra Mishra and Deepak Singh provided a detailed understanding of cybercrime fundamentals, CDR (Call Detail Record) & IPDR (Internet Protocol Detail Record) analysis, and government cybercrime handling portals. Additionally, CBI Cyber Inspector Abhishek Sonkar delivered an impactful lecture on financial crime investigation and targeted cybercrime detection.
On the second day (January 30, 2025), Cyber Expert Kuldeep Verma covered topics such as the basics of digital forensics, procedures for searching and seizing electronic evidence, and the admissibility of digital evidence in legal proceedings.
DCP Central Zone Bhopal, Riaz Iqbal, provided an overview of cyber awareness and the emerging challenges in cybercrime investigations. He shared detailed case studies of cybercrimes he had personally traced during his tenure in districts like Satna, Morena, Panna, and Singrauli. His session focused on how police officers can effectively track cybercrimes in the field.
During the seminar, Mission Karmayogi iGOT Portal training videos were shown to educate participants.
The vote of thanks was given by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mrs. Shraddha Joshi and DSP Rajeev Tripathi, while the event was anchored by Inspector Rupesh Magareya. The seminar was successfully conducted with the dedicated efforts of Nohar Singh, Dilip Sharma, Manoj Sen, Nivesh Mishra, Pradeep Alawa, and other police staff involved in organizing the event.
