Skill Development Drives: IREL’s Support for Sustainable Livelihood

Understanding the need of any aspiring country and the difference in what is taught in classrooms vis-à-vis the requirement of Industries/ customers, there is a dire need to bridge the gap. Taking cue from the requirement and its focus in improving the livelihood of locals residing around its operations, IREL (India) Limited, a Miniratna Category-I CPSE under the Department of Atomic Energy, has geared up its skill development drives under CSR through Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK) in line with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) approved qualification packs. In spite of the pandemic situation in the year 2020-21, these Skill Development Training Programmes were conducted after easing of social gathering norms on customer care executive, sewing machine operator,CRM Domestic Non-Voice and ware house picker. D. Singh, CMD, IREL (India) Limited said the purpose of these training drives are aimed to provide a platform for unemployed youth to develop skill sets in alignment with industry. Through these drives, we seek to reach out to every segment of the society with the necessary training and skill based programmes required for empowerment of local inhabitatants for gainful sustainable livelihood. We are proud to create opportunities for these people who can get employment with help of such programmes.
