MTDC has recently roped in Pawan hans helicopter ltd, MTDC’s this endeavor is for Mumbaikars and tourists visiting the maximum city who can now enjoy the aerial view of Mumbai as Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is all set to launch heli-tourism in partnership with Pawan Hans Ltd. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has signed a MoU with Pawan Hans to start city tours on a helicopter for tourists. The helicopter flights will take off from Juhu airport and fly north, keeping to the city’s west so as not to interfere with air traffic from Mumbai airport.
In the series tourism promotion Maharashtra Tourism organised recently The Elephanta Festival at the Elephanta Caves across Mumbai harbour. The festival had classical music and dance forms of India and is a preferred destination for culture lovers.
Traditionally, visitors are welcomed and a folk dance performance by the local fishermen tribes starts off the festivities. The magnificent sculptures on the caves are truly a sight that cannot be overlooked. The ‘Maheshmurti’, deity of Lord Shiva, is the central sculpture and the core point of celebration,. The Elephanta Festival is worthy of keeping alive the heritage of Indian music, dance, and art!
