By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM|The Indian Revenue Service Association, the apex representative body of IRS officers across the country, has announced a fresh set of nominations to its Central Executive Committee, reflecting an effort to bring wider professional perspectives into its organisational framework.

Three officers from different stages of service and regions have been nominated to the Central Executive Committee. The nominees include Samatha Mullamudi, IRS 2009, currently posted in Chennai; Satya Prakash Mishra, IRS 2023, posted in Bhubaneswar, Odisha; and Varun Yadav, an IRS probationer undergoing training at the National Academy of Direct Taxes. The diversity in batch, experience and posting underscores the Association’s intent to ensure balanced representation and inclusive participation.

The nominated members will be associated with the functioning of the Central Executive Committee in a consultative capacity. While they will not exercise voting rights, they are expected to actively engage in meetings, contribute to discussions, and support the Association’s work through participation in sub-committees and access to relevant non-confidential records. This structure allows the Association to benefit from fresh ideas and ground-level insights while maintaining its established decision-making process.

The tenure of the nominations will commence from 23 December 2025 and will continue until further directions are issued. The move is seen as part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional dialogue, mentor younger officers, and promote collaborative functioning within the IRS fraternity.

With these nominations, the Indian Revenue Service Association continues to evolve as a professional body that values experience, inclusivity and continuity, reinforcing its role as a collective voice of officers serving India’s revenue administration.
