Union Bank of India Hosts Mega Financial Inclusion & Awareness Drive in Patna

Union Bank of India successfully organised a Mega Financial Inclusion Saturation and Awareness Campaign at Urja Stadium, Patna, as part of the nationwide initiative of the Department of Financial Services, Government of India.
The programme focused on bringing banking and financial services to the underserved, with special emphasis on:
– Opening bank accounts for unbanked citizens
– Enrolling beneficiaries in flagship social security schemes
– Facilitating account re-KYC updates
– Spreading awareness about digital and cyber fraud prevention
The event witnessed the presence of Nitesh Ranjan, Executive Director, Union Bank of India, and Sujit Kumar Arvind, Regional Director, RBI, alongside senior officials from the Reserve Bank of India, other leading banks, and stakeholders from the financial ecosystem.
A highlight of the campaign was its interactive exhibition stalls, showcasing government schemes, innovative banking products, and financial services aimed at empowering communities. Attendees benefited from on-the-spot services such as account openings, enrolments in insurance and pension schemes, and hands-on guidance for safe and secure digital banking.
The initiative drew praise for its people-centric approach, enabling citizens to access formal financial services at their doorstep and deepening financial literacy in the region.
