Union Bank of India (UBI) has demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) during the Mahakumbh festival in Prayagraj by launching a Cancer Wing and donating an ambulance at the Cantonment Hospital. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare access for the community. Additionally, UBI organized a Kambal Vitran drive at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, providing blankets to those in need. Managing Director and CEO, A. Manimekhalai, also visited the bank’s counter at Sector 2 Mela Kshetra, strengthening the bank’s connection with the people it serves.

Cancer Wing at Cantonment Hospital: n the auspicious occasion of the Mahakumbh, UBI’s Managing Director and CEO, A. Manimekhalai, inaugurated a Cancer Wing at the Cantonment Hospital in Prayagraj.his facility aims to provide specialized cancer care to the local community, addressing a critical healthcare need.

Ambulance Donation: n addition to the Cancer Wing, UBI donated an ambulance to the hospital through the Bank’s Social Foundation.his gesture ensures better emergency medical services for those in need, particularly during the high influx of visitors during the Mela.

Kambal Vitran Drive at Parmarth Niketan Ashram: emonstrating a commitment to social welfare, UBI organized a Kambal Vitran (blanket distribution) drive at Parmarth Niketan Ashram.his initiative provided comfort to many, especially the elderly and underprivileged, during the cold nights of the Mela.
Visit to Banking Counter at Sector 2 Mela Kshetra: To strengthen its connection with the people, A. Manimekhalai visited UBI’s banking counter at Sector 2 Mela Kshetra.his visit underscored the bank’s dedication to serving the community and ensuring seamless banking services during the Mela.
