Bhopal, India – May 28, 2025 – Indian consultancy firm WAPCOS has secured two significant infrastructure projects in Fiji, underscoring its growing presence in the Pacific region. Awarded by the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA), these initiatives aim to bolster the nation’s tourism infrastructure and regional connectivity.
Rewa Vutia Road and Bridge Alignment
The first project involves the Rewa Vutia Road and Bridge Alignment, a critical infrastructure development on Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. This project is part of the broader Fiji Critical Bridges Resilience Project, which aims to enhance the resilience of four major bridges on Viti Levu against natural hazards and climate change, benefiting more than half a million people or about 62% of the country’s total population. The project, valued at USD 199.56 million, is jointly financed by the Government of Fiji, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. ([aiffp.gov.au][1], [World Bank][2])
