Work sensitively for the Dev. of Dantewada, CG-CS RP Mandal directs officers

Raipur, 17 March 2020: Chief Secretary R.P. Mandal has directed the officers of various departments to work sensitively under the special action plan for the development of Dantewada district of the state so that the number of people living below the poverty line in the district, according to the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s plan Reduction should be made The Chief Secretary took a meeting of senior officials at Mantri Mahanadi Bhavan here today and reviewed in detail the special action plan made for the development of Dantewada district.
Directing the officers, the Chief Secretary said that about 60 percent of the families in the district are below the poverty line, he told the officials that all the department officials united with mutual coordination to bring it down to 20 percent in the next four years. CS Mandal has said that to connect all the people of the district with employment, the officers should work every year by aiming to benefit from their departmental schemes.For this, by determining the economic activities, it can be ensured that the fixed income activities of the people increase.
The Chief Secretary has also instructed the officers to link self-help groups in the district with employment activities. Material prepared by self-help groups should be used in hostels, ashrams and police camps so that members of the group get employment. Similarly, under the Nutrition Campaign, pregnant and infant mothers should make hot food mandatory. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to convert the Gothans of the district into livelihood centers and to conduct employment test there. Instructions have been given to beneficiaries by making beneficiary oriented scheme for lease holders obtained under the Forest Rights Act. Instructions have been given to take appropriate action to provide irrigation facilities and promote horticulture crops by preparing small and micro irrigation schemes in the farmers’ fields of the district. The Chief Secretary has instructed senior officers of Agriculture, Health, Women and Child Development and other departments including visiting Dantewada district to visit the departmental works on the spot. He also instructed the in-charge secretary of the district Kamalpreet Singh to work under the action plan in coordination with all the departments.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Department Gaurav Dwivedi, Principal Secretary Agriculture Dr. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi, Principal Secretary Forest Manoj Pingwa, Secretary Women and Child Development Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, Secretary Health Mrs. Niharika Barik, Secretary Food Dr. Kamalpreet Singh and senior officials of other departments were present.
