GV Kiran, CMD, I/c D(F) & D(P&P), BK Mahapatra, Director (C), SVR Chandra Sekhar, CVO, CGMs, Sr Officers & employees were present on the occasion. The theme for World Environment Day 2025 is “Beat Plastic Pollution”. On World environment day, a sapling plantation ceremony was organized in the premises of KIOCL Corporate Office, Bangalore. CMD, D(C), CVO, CGMs planted the saplings, emphasizing the importance of actively participating in environment conservation efforts. GV Kiran in his speech shared information on the impact of Plastics on the environment. He said 400 million tons of plastic waste is generated globally and much of it ends up polluting our oceans, choking wildlife, and entering our food chains. This crisis demands not just global action, but personal and organizational responsibility. As a company, we are committed to reducing our plastic footprint across all levels from procurement to packaging, and from office operations to community engagement. A cleaner, greener, and plastic-free environment is possible, only if we act together consistently and consciously.
