THDC India Limited celebrated 35th Foundation Day

Rishikesh, 12.07.2022: THDC India Limited celebrated 35th Foundation Day with fervour at the Corporate office Rishikesh, Projects, and Unit offices. Rajeev Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director hoisted the THDCIL flag in Rishikesh and addressed the august gathering of employees and their families in the Rasmanjari Hall. The event was inaugurated by Rajeev Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, and J. Behera, Director (Finance) by lighting the auspicious lamp.
Addressing the audience, Rajiv Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director said that the Corporation has seen countless ups and downs in the last 34 years. He added that the corporation has lived a period of fierce struggles and challenges as well as saw the aura of successes and achievements also during this phase. He said that in the last one year, there has been a significant change in the reputation of the corporation, due to which the corporation has been recognized today as a major player in the hydro sector. On this occasion, he also remembered the contributions of all the former Chairman and Managing Directors of the Corporation.
Chairman and Managing Director and Director (Finance) felicitated all the winners of various achievements, meritorious students awards and winners of various competitions organized by the corporation for the employees. Various cultural activities were performed on this occasion. The event was live-streamed for all the employees at all the locations of the corporation.Veer Singh, CGM (HR & A) delivered the vote of thanks. During the occasion many employees of the corporation were present.
Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan & 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
