SEPC Strengthens Northeast Services Export Vision Through Strategic Collaboration with Nagaland

(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) In a notable move to boost India’s services export footprint in the Northeastern region, the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) held a high-level meeting with the Government of Nagaland, reinforcing its commitment to regional development through sectoral collaboration.
Dr. Abhay Sinha, Director General of SEPC, and Chandranshu Awasthi, Senior Director, SEPC, met with Dr. J. Alam, Chief Secretary of Nagaland, to explore actionable strategies for unlocking the state’s services potential.
The discussions centred around key areas including tourism and hospitality, skilling of local talent, cultural and music collaboration, and the growth of the creative economy. These sectors, deeply rooted in the state’s identity and resources, offer immense opportunities for integration into India’s broader services export ecosystem.
Dr. Sinha emphasized SEPC’s vision of inclusive and sustainable services growth, with a focus on regional empowerment. “Nagaland has a unique cultural and creative richness. With the right support, it can emerge as a vibrant contributor to India’s global services trade,” he stated.
