As part of the ongoing Muskaan Abhiyan initiated by Madhya Pradesh Police, the Shahjahanabad police team organised a comprehensive child-safety awareness programme for girl students at St. Joseph’s School, Idgah Hills. The event was conducted under the guidance of Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Police Commissioner Avadesh Goswami.

Senior officials including DCP Abhinav Chouksey (Zone-3), ADCP Shalini Dixit, ACP Rakesh Baghel (Hanumanganj) and School Principal Sister Lily were present during the session. Addressing the students, the officers shared crucial information on BJC Touch, child safety protocols, Childline and Child Helpline (1098), and essential safe-behavior practices.

A significant part of the programme focused on rising cybercrimes targeting young users. DCP Abhinav Chouksey and ADCP Shalini Dixit briefed the students on online risks, preventive measures, and responsible digital conduct.

The event gained strong support from Shahjahanabad police station team, especially Station House Officer Umesh Pal Singh Chauhan and Sub-Inspector Yogita Jain, who played key roles in its successful coordination.

As part of the awareness initiative, the acclaimed short film ‘Komal’ was screened to sensitise students about good touch and bad touch, child abuse prevention, and personal safety. Officers highlighted various provisions under child-protection laws and measures to stay alert and empowered.

Under the Muskaan Abhiyan, such programmes continue to be organised across the city to ensure that children—particularly girls—remain informed, confident, and prepared to safeguard themselves.
