RAPTC Indore Honours Rustamji’s Legacy, Ceremony Reflects Policing Vision of SC Solanki

Rustamji at Ramchandra Nagar Square on Airport Road. The dignified ceremony paid tribute to one of India’s most respected police officers and reflected the strong culture of coordination and shared responsibility fostered at the institution under the guidance of Chandrashekhar Solanki, Inspector General, RAPTC Indore.

The programme was organised with notable efficiency, careful planning, and financial discipline. The smooth execution of the event highlighted Solanki’s emphasis on teamwork, where officers and staff worked in close coordination to ensure that every aspect of the ceremony was managed systematically and with purpose. The ceremony was attended by Chanchal Shekhar, Additional Director General of Police (Visbal), as chief guest, along with Dharamendra Singh Bhadoria, Deputy Inspector General, Abhishek Anand, and several senior officers and personnel from RAPTC and affiliated battalions. The chief guest laid the foundation stone and unveiled the statue, followed by plantation activities that symbolised continuity, responsibility, and environmental awareness.

Senior officers recalled the life and contributions of K.F. Rustamji, highlighting his tenure as Director General of the Border Security Force, his decisive role in curbing dacoity in the Chambal region, and his dedicated service to the nation. These reflections connected Rustamji’s values with present-day professional practices in policing.

In his address, Chandrashekhar Solanki spoke about Rustamji’s commitment to integrity, discipline, and public service. He stressed the importance of learning from past examples while adapting to present-day challenges. His remarks underlined the need for cooperation, shared accountability, and continuous learning within police institutions.
