The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has been designated as the Nodal Institute from Punjab for Yuva Sangam Phase VI, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme. The programme aims to promote cultural understanding and strengthen people-to-people connections among youth from different states across India.
As part of this phase, the state of Punjab has been paired with Bihar to facilitate a meaningful cultural and educational exchange between youth from the two states. IIT Ropar will coordinate the programme for Punjab and host participants as part of the exchange activities.
Registrations for Yuva Sangam Phase VI are now open.
Interested youth can apply through the official portal: https://ebsb.aicte-india.org/
The last date to register is 18th March 2026.
The programme is open to youth aged 18–30 years, including students from higher educational institutions, volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS), members of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), and young professionals. Yuva Sangam offers selected participants an opportunity to take part in 5–7 day immersive exposure visits to the partner state. During the visit, participants will engage in interactions with academic institutions, local communities, innovators, and entrepreneurs, and explore historical, cultural, and developmental sites.
The initiative focuses on five key aspects: Tourism, Tradition, Development, Technology, and People-to-People Connect, providing participants with a comprehensive experience of India’s diversity and progress.
Through this initiative, IIT Ropar will facilitate academic interactions, cultural exchange activities, and experiential learning opportunities for the youth, contributing to the broader vision of strengthening national integration and fostering deeper connections among young citizens.
Young individuals from Punjab who are interested in exploring India’s cultural diversity and engaging with peers from across the country are encouraged to apply and be part of this unique initiative.
