By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and Maharatna public sector undertaking, has announced the appointment of Sanjay Khanna as its Chairman and Managing Director.

The appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet following the recommendation of the Search-cum-Selection Committee under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Sanjay Khanna, who is currently serving as Director (Refineries) in BPCL, will assume charge of the top post from the date of taking over. He will hold the position until his superannuation on May 31, 2029, or until further orders.

His elevation to the top leadership role comes at a crucial time for BPCL as the company continues to expand its refining capacity, strengthen its market presence, and align with India’s evolving energy landscape.

With extensive experience in the refining and petroleum sector, Khanna is expected to steer BPCL towards sustained growth and operational excellence in the coming years.
