South Eastern Coalfields Limited, a key subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has earned national recognition by securing a place among the top 10 performing organizations during Mission Karmayogi – Sadhana Week 2026. The achievement reflects a growing emphasis on structured capacity building and digital learning across India’s public sector landscape.

The recognition comes from the Capacity Building Commission, which acknowledged the organisation’s consistent and proactive participation. A commendation letter was issued to CMD Harish Duhan, highlighting strong course completion rates and a clear commitment to enhancing workforce capabilities.

Held between April 2 and 10, Sadhana Week served as a focused initiative under Mission Karmayogi to encourage continuous learning among government and public sector employees. SECL’s performance stood out due to its widespread employee engagement and active use of digital training tools.

At the core of this initiative is iGOT Karmayogi platform (Integrated Government Online Training), designed to create a unified ecosystem for skill development. SECL has leveraged this platform to roll out courses in key areas such as environmental protection, sustainable development, and corporate social responsibility, aligning employee skills with emerging national priorities.

The recognition underscores a deeper organisational shift towards fostering a culture of continuous learning. By encouraging employees to upgrade their competencies and adapt to evolving industry challenges, SECL is positioning itself as a forward-looking and responsible enterprise.

This milestone also aligns with the broader vision of Coal India Limited to build a more efficient, accountable, and future-ready workforce. As India continues to modernise its governance frameworks, such initiatives highlight how public sector organisations are increasingly integrating digital tools and structured training to improve both operational performance and public service delivery.
