By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM :The Competent Authority has approved additional charge arrangements in two key Union ministries. Sudhansh Pant and Pankaj Agrawal have been entrusted with temporary secretary-level responsibilities during the leave period of incumbent officers in the Departments of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Coal respectively.

Sudhansh Pant Given Additional Charge of DEPwD Secretary
The Competent Authority has assigned additional charge of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), to Sudhansh Pant, IAS (RJ:1991), from May 9 to May 24, 2026, during the leave of Ms. V. Vidyavathi, IAS (KN:1991).

Pankaj Agrawal Gets Additional Charge as Coal Secretary
The Competent Authority has approved assignment of additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Coal, to Pankaj Agrawal, IAS (MP:1992), from May 9 to May 19, 2026, during the leave period of Vikram Dev Dutt, IAS (AGMUT:1993).

Anand Madhukar, IRPS (1997), Additional Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre following approval by the Competent Authority. The Ministry of Culture proposed the move to enable him to avail promotion benefits in his parent service cadre.

Abhilaksh Likhi, IAS (HY:1991), has been assigned additional charge as Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, with immediate effect till May 20, 2026. He will hold the responsibility during the leave period of Shri Vivek Bhardwaj, IAS (WB:1990), the incumbent secretary.
