ACC Clears Major Appointments at Joint Secretary Level Across Key Ministries

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a series of appointments and postings of senior officers from IAS, IFoS, IRS, IRAS, IRPS and other central services at Joint Secretary and equivalent levels across strategic ministries and departments.

Deepa Chawla, IRAS (1998), has been appointed Joint Secretary under O/o Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat, for a tenure up to December 28, 2028, succeeding D. Sai Amutha Devi, IP&TA&FS.

Gopal Singh, IFoS (Bihar:2003), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal for five years, replacing Lakhpat Singh Choudhary, IRSS (1997), at the Joint Secretary level.

Amit Kumar, IAS (Jharkhand:2010), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce for a combined tenure up to May 4, 2030, succeeding Darpan Jain, IAS (Karnataka:2001).

Shiv Pal Singh, IFoS (Uttar Pradesh:1997), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation for an overall tenure up to March 15, 2029, replacing Siddharth Jain, IAS (Andhra Pradesh:2001).

Neha Bansal, IAS (AGMUT:2010), has been appointed Additional Director General (Records Management), National Archives of India, under the Ministry of Culture, for an overall tenure up to April 14, 2030.

Vijay Namdeorao Zade, IAS (Punjab:2002), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production for five years in relaxation of the mandatory cooling-off condition.

Prakash Rajpurohit, IAS (Rajasthan:2010), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production for a combined tenure up to April 8, 2030, replacing Amit Satija, IAS (AGMUT:2008).

D Senthil Pandiyan, IAS (Uttarakhand:2002), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation for an overall tenure up to May 23, 2028.

Sreenivasa Rao Gangi Reddy, IRPS (2004), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Earth Sciences for five years, succeeding D Senthil Pandiyan, IAS (Uttarakhand:2002).

Surabhi Rai, IFoS (AGMUT:2005), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Fisheries for an overall tenure up to May 19, 2028, replacing Neetu Kumari Prasad, IAS (Telangana:2001).

Manisha Saxena, IRS (C&IT:2000), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Health Research for a combined tenure up to December 13, 2027, succeeding Anu Nagar, IFoS (Himachal Pradesh:1995).

Vivek Kumar Daksh, IPoS (2002), has been appointed Senior Deputy Director General (Administration), ICMR, under the Department of Health Research, for a tenure of five years.

M Ramachandrudu, IAS (Bihar:2009), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure up to August 26, 2027, replacing Saheli G. Roy, CSS.

P Praveen Siddharth, IRS (IT:2001), has been appointed Member (Finance), Delhi Development Authority, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, for a tenure of five years.

Ajay Kumar Nema, ITS (1994), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Justice for a tenure up to his superannuation on July 31, 2030, replacing Niraj Kumar Gayagi, IDAS (1997).

J Saravanan, IRS (IT:2005), has been appointed Financial Adviser, KVIC, Mumbai, under the MSME Ministry, for five years, succeeding Pankaj Bodkhe, IRS (C&IT:2000).

Amit Agarwal, IRSE (Civil:2002), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj for five years, replacing Alok Prem Nagar, IFoS (Himachal Pradesh:1995).

Palka Sahni, IAS (Bihar:2004), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj for an overall tenure up to April 2, 2028, succeeding Mamta Varma, IInfoS (1994).

Jayasree M G, ISS (1998), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development for five years, replacing Smriti Sharan, IPoS (1993).

S Sasikumar, IFoS (West Bengal:2002), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development for an overall tenure up to June 7, 2028, replacing Amit Shukla, IFoS (Tripura:1999).

Sandeep Rewaji Rathod, IAS (Tripura:2009), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for a combined tenure up to February 23, 2030.
