Twelve Years of Leadership, Twelve Years of New India: Chhattisgarh Advances on the Path of Development and Good Governance
“The twelve years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership have been twelve years of building a New India, strengthening good governance and advancing public welfare.” With these words, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai greeted the completion of twelve years of Narendra Modi’s leadership at the national level and highlighted the transformative changes witnessed across the state during this period.
The Chief Minister said that the past twelve years have marked a defining phase in India’s development journey, characterized by inclusive growth, effective governance, infrastructure expansion and welfare-oriented policies. He noted that Chhattisgarh, too, has made significant progress under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and with the continuous support of the Central Government.
According to Vishnu Deo Sai, the state has embarked on a new journey of development and prosperity. One of the most significant achievements has been the restoration of peace and security in regions that were once severely affected by Naxal violence. After decades of living under the shadow of extremism, many such areas are now witnessing a new chapter marked by stability, confidence and development.
The Chief Minister pointed out that infrastructure projects worth thousands of crores of rupees have been implemented across the state, creating stronger connectivity and laying the foundation for long-term economic growth. Roads, bridges, public facilities and other development works have brought remote regions closer to mainstream progress.
Agriculture has also remained a key focus area. Various farmer-centric schemes have empowered cultivators and provided fresh momentum to the rural economy. Through policy support and welfare initiatives, farmers have gained new opportunities and greater confidence in pursuing sustainable agricultural growth.
Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that development has increasingly reached tribal regions, ensuring that the benefits of governance and welfare programmes extend to some of the most remote parts of the state. Improved access to education, healthcare, infrastructure and livelihood opportunities has helped integrate tribal communities into the broader development framework.
The Chief Minister further noted that welfare initiatives have positively impacted the lives of the poor, youth, women and other disadvantaged sections of society. Government programmes aimed at empowerment, social inclusion and economic upliftment have brought meaningful improvements in the lives of millions.
He credited these achievements to the strong partnership between the Centre and the State, describing it as the result of a “double-engine government” committed to public welfare and coordinated development. The synergy between the two governments, he said, has accelerated the pace of progress and strengthened public trust in governance.
On the occasion, Vishnu Deo Sai informed that he had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing gratitude on behalf of Chhattisgarh’s 3.5 crore citizens. In the letter, he thanked the Prime Minister for his continued guidance and support and acknowledged the role played by the Central Government in the state’s development journey.
The Chief Minister also conveyed his heartfelt wishes for Prime Minister Modi’s good health, long life and continued success in public service. He expressed confidence that under Modi’s leadership, India would continue to achieve new milestones while states such as Chhattisgarh would further contribute to the nation’s growth and prosperity.
As India celebrates twelve years of transformative governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh’s experience reflects the impact of development-driven policies, cooperative federalism and a shared commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive and prosperous nation.
