MP Government Reshuffles 9 IPS Officers; New IGs, SPs Appointed

THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA| Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle in the state police department by transferring and posting nine Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The latest exercise is aimed at strengthening field administration and enhancing policing through strategic deployment of senior officers across key ranges and districts.
As part of the reshuffle, Harinarayan Chari Mishra has been posted as IG (Administration), Police Headquarters, Bhopal, while Rupeshwar Mishra has been appointed IG, Bhopal Rural Zone. Chandrashekhar Solanki has been posted as IG, Narmadapuram Zone, and Mithilesh Shukla has taken over as IG, Sagar Zone.
The appointment of Mithilesh Shukla fills the post of IG, Sagar Range on a regular basis after it had fallen vacant following the retirement of Himani Khanna, ensuring continuity in leadership in the important police range.
Among the district-level changes, Priyanka Shukla has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Shajapur, while Sanjay Kumar Agrawal has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Shahdol. Yashpal Singh Rajput, who was serving as SP, Shajapur, has been transferred as SP, Rail, Indore, while Ramji Srivastava, formerly SP, Shahdol, has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal.
The Home Department has also appointed Simala Prasad as Deputy Inspector General, Khargone Range, assigning her an important field responsibility.
Besides the regular transfers, the government has entrusted Adarsh Katiyar, Special Director General of Police (Administration), with the additional charge of Special Director General of Police (Telecommunications), Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Anurag, IG, Indore Rural Zone, has been given the additional charge of IG, Special Armed Force (SAF), Indore Range, and IG, RAPTC, Indore. Consequently, Arvind Tiwari has been relieved of the additional charge of SP, Rail, Indore.
The latest reshuffle reflects the state’s continued focus on strengthening police leadership, improving administrative efficiency, and ensuring effective law enforcement through timely deployment of experienced officers at key positions across Madhya Pradesh.
