HURL celebrates Independence Day with people-centric initiatives; bags CSR Lifetime Achievement Award

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) marked the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its Head Office and units at Barauni, Gorakhpur and Sindri, while reaffirming its commitment to employee welfare, community development and inclusive growth.
At HURL Barauni, Managing Director Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty hoisted the National Flag. The celebrations were accompanied by several people-centric initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of employees and their families. These included Bhoomi Pujan for the Chat Ghat Pond and 48 residential quarters, besides the inauguration of the Township CCTV Server, Basketball Ground, Children’s Park and Recreation Centre. Dr. Mohanty also visited locations proposed for 43 additional residential quarters.
The initiatives underline HURL’s focus on strengthening infrastructure, safety, recreation and community well-being.
Adding another milestone to its social responsibility journey, HURL was conferred the prestigious CSR Lifetime Achievement Award at BridgeBharat 2026 – National Seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility, held in Bhubaneswar on August 18, 2026.
The event was organised by the Department of Public Enterprises, Government of Odisha, in collaboration with the Odisha Corporate Foundation and Bridge Bharat Foundation. The award recognises HURL’s sustained efforts towards social development, empowerment of underprivileged and marginalised communities, and promotion of an inclusive, equitable and sustainable society.
Together, the Independence Day initiatives and CSR recognition reflect HURL’s continuing commitment to building stronger communities, improving quality of life and creating meaningful, sustainable social impact.
