By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM|Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of NTPC, met Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur to discuss opportunities for strengthening the state’s energy sector and advancing cooperation in power generation.

During the meeting, discussions focused on expanding NTPC’s renewable energy portfolio in Rajasthan, reflecting the growing importance of clean energy in meeting the country’s future power requirements. Rajasthan, with its significant solar and wind energy potential, offers considerable opportunities for renewable energy development and investment.

The meeting also covered ways to improve the operational efficiency of the coal-based power generation fleet of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL). Enhancing plant efficiency remains important for reliable electricity supply, better utilisation of existing assets and improved operational performance.

The interaction underlined the significance of collaboration between NTPC and the Rajasthan government in supporting the state’s energy requirements, promoting renewable energy capacity and strengthening the reliability and efficiency of its power infrastructure.
