Coal Production Starts at NTPC’s First Coal Block at Pakhribarwadih

The first coal rake of NTPC’s Pakri-Barwadih coal mine at Hazaribagh has been flagged-off by Arun Jaitley Union Minister of Finance ; Raghubar Das, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Piyush Goyal Union Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal, N&RE and Mines and Jayant Sinha, Union Minister of State for Aviation, through remote control in a ceremony held at Ranchi. Gurdeep Singh CMD, NTPC, Kulamani Biswal, Diretor(Finance) and KK Sharma Director(Operations), were present on the occasion.
NTPC is playing a major role in meeting the power needs of the country and contributing to its economic and social development contributing nearly 24 % of country’s generation. NTPC has a vision to be the world’s leading power company, energizing India’s growth and plans to become 130GW company by 2032.
