CWC handed over a dividend cheque of Rs.53.14 crore to Ram Vilas Paswan

Harpreet Singh, Managing Director, CWC presented dividend cheque of Rs.53.14 crore to Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution on 15th November, 2017 for dividend due to the Govt. of India on its 55% share in the capital of CWC, in the presence of Ravi Kant, Secretary Department of Food & Public Distribution . Other senior officers of the Ministry and CWC were also present on this occasion.Ram Vilas Paswan congratulated CWC for its good performance in the year 2016-17.
The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) achieved a turnover of Rs.1606 crore during 2016-17. It earned profit after tax (PAT) of Rs.231 crore which is an increase of 16.67% over previous year. During 2016-17, CWC constructed additional storage capacity of 95000 MT with a CAPEX of Rs.103 crore.
CWC has declared dividend for the year 2016-17 @ 142% of its paid up capital as against 88% paid last year. This is the highest ever dividend CWC has paid to its shareholders.
