The BVFCL’s Rongali Bihu Sanmillon kicked off with the ceremonial flag hoisting, where CMD-BVFCL, SP Mohanty raised the BVFCL flag, and President Pankaj Kr Gogoi hoisted the Rongali Bihu flag. Afterward, floral tributes were paid at Swahid Bedi, and SP Mohanty, along with committee members and officials, participated in a plantation activity. S.P. Mohanty also inaugurated the stalls organized by Self-Help Groups (SHGs).The opening act on the stage was performed by the Hunchri group from Barnamghar, Namrup. In the evening, various competitions were held,including husari, jeng Bihu, Bihu nach, Bihuwoti, and more.The second day began with a Quiz competition. In the evening, an award distribution ceremony took place, graced by BVFCL-CMD, S.P. Mohanty and Dr. Anil Saikia, Retd. Principal, Moran College & Member of Sangeet Nath Academy, GOI. A souvenir titled “Brahmaputra 2023” was also unveiled to commemorate the occasion. The program concluded with a captivating singing performance by the renowned Assamese singer, Smt. Geetanjali Das.
