(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) The position of Chairman at the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has remained vacant since March 2024, with the Government of India yet to announce a new appointment.

Senior BJP leader Dr. Sambit Patra served as the Part-Time Non-Executive Director and Chairman of ITDC from November 2021 until March 2024.

Currently, A Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, is serving as the Managing Director of ITDC. As per an official order issued on February 4, 2025, he has been granted an extension to continue holding the additional charge of Managing Director for a further period of six months, effective from October 11, 2024, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.
