Vartika Shulka, CMD, EIL recently visited IIT Madras, The CMD’s interactions with researchers and students underscored the institute’s commitment to pioneering eco-friendly technologies. EIL has also funded the some of the innovative ventures taken forward by IITM both through seed fund and through innovation challenge. EIL funded some of the start ups incubated at IITM under its flagship ‘EngSUI’ start up India initiative including Vayujal tech (prototype for water extraction from atmosphere), Solinas integrity (pipeline internal ultrasonic sensor for inline inspection of oil & gas pipeline), Samudyoga waste chakra (catalytic plastic pyrolysis unit) and X2 Fuels & Energy for development of fuels via hydrothermal liquefaction of Biomass and MSW. This collaboration aims to bolster GoI’s efforts to develop a robust startup economy ecosystem in the country and propel the nation towards sustainable energy future.
