GNFC Ltd wins ‘India’s Best Company of the Year Award -2017 .

Mumbai, March 12, 2018: Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. (GNFC) has been awarded with the ‘India’s Best Company of the Year Award 2017.’ Further consolidating its place as one of the best fertilizers & chemicals companies in the country, IBC Infomedia Pvt. Ltd., a division of International Brand Consulting Corporation, USA, conferred the award to GNFC Ltd.

GNFC Ltd was adjudged as one of the India’s Best Companies of the year, based on a comprehensive research conducted across several organizations to benchmark against the best companies across the country, region and globe. The study aimed at identifying as an unique recognition of success as the fastest growing company with innovative practices and unique brains behind them, by Media Research Group (MRG) for the year 2017.

GNFC played a significant role in the success of the country’s economy, and have unambiguously unveiled itself as the next set of game changers serving through various business verticals. This company is a market leader in the chemical and fertiliser sector, and was awarded for its innovative strategy, that has positively impacted both business and society. The Company has been rapidly expanding and diversifying its operations.

GNFC had declared highest ever Q3 Profit Before Tax (PBT) of INR 371 crores. GNFC is also aiming to be debt free by the end of this financial year March 2018. GNFC has also reported Profit before Tax of INR 715 crores for the 2016-17, which is higher by 167 % than the previous year.

During the year, GNFC posted highest ever quarterly and yearly PBT, highest ever Exports and the highest ever dividend of INR 5 per share @ 50%. The highly successful financial year could be attributed to ingenious business process reengineering, supply chain innovations and synergy with government initiatives.

GNFC has also been in the news for its unique Neem Project and 100% Cashless Township Initiative and was appreciated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sri. Narendra Modi, for the positive impact on the indigenous people of India. Further on, on October 8th, 2017 Hon’ble Prime Minister had launched the Neem Project’s plant in the District of Bharuch, Gujarat.

This award ceremony took place on March 10, 2018 at The Leela, Mumbai. Shri Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of State for Home, Finance and Planning, Government of Maharashtra, presented the awards.
