Gujarat Tourism Department’s initiative of its own kind Cinematic Tourism – The Way Forward will be adding more Khusbo in the atmosphere Khubo Gujarat ki.
on 29th August 2016 the programe is going to be held at Main Convention Hall, Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.

Participants from allover the world are coming to witness this incredible seminar. Chief Minister of Gujarat,
Vijaybahi R Rupani. Dy. CM NitinBhai Patel, Tourism Minister, Ganpatbahi Vastabhai Vasava, Kamleshbhai Patel
Chairman GTCL, Principal Secretary Tourism S J Haider
and N Srivastava Commissioner of Tourism and Managing Director will presideover this program which focuses on Crowned with ‘The Most Film-Friendly State’ in the 2015 National Films Awards, Gujarat is a truly friendly State for filmmakers and Cinematic Tourism. As in the other sectors of the State, the movie and the entertainment industry can benefit from the fabled ease of doing business in Gujarat. Blessed with diverse choices of great locations including spectacular geographical, archeological and royal sites, Gujarat indeed is a treasure trove for the filmmakers of every hue and an ideal destination for Cinematic Tourism.

The one-day Seminar aims to explore the many benefits associated with making films in the flourishing locales of Gujarat suitable to film makers both from within and outside the country. According to some estimates, more than 100 Non-Gujarati feature films were shot in Gujarat during the last three years which includes movies in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bhojpuri and Bengali.

The Seminar will benefit from the presence of film producers,industry experts,stakeholders and Government officials for brainstorming on financial incentives,production facilities and services availability, capitalizing on the available benefits and exposure to the recent film productions in the State. The deliberations and discussions in the Seminar will elaborate on various aspects of the single-window clearance offered by the Gujarat Government for shooting locations and other film friendly facilities available in the State.

The efficient facilitation for shooting and producing films in the State is an irresistible attraction. Gujarat’s single-window clearance facility, presence of a dedicated web portal, international promotions, database of product facilities and hotels and emergency services considerably streamline the otherwise cumbersome process of film making. It’s worth mentioning that Toran, the TCGL-owned hotels even give substantial rebates for film crew accommodation. Add to that, the proactive and friendly approach of the State Government as well as the warmth of people of Gujarat and the filmmakers have got a perfect shot in Gujarat!

The Gujarat Government has by resolution, ensured prompt and adequate facilities to producers who want to shoot films, TV serials, documentaries, advertisements and feature films in Gujarat. These special privileges give producers an additional advantage for shooting in the unexplored as well as famed locations in the State.

Shooting approval is swiftly given by respective authorities.

If decision on shooting application is not taken in seven days, permission will be deemed to have been granted.

50% Off on Accommodation

Film producers and their crew will have priority booking privilege and fifty percent rebate over the prevailing rates of rooms at Government owned Toran Hotels across Gujarat.

Adequate Security

Free police bandobast is offered at open areas and public places.

Local security clearances from Police Commissioner/District Police granted within seven days.
Permission will be deemed is to have been granted if decision remains pending after seven days.

Assistance from TCGL Film Shooting Cell
TCGL at Gandhinagar and Mumbai will coordinate, film cellsfacilitate and also carry out marketing activities for film shootings in Gujarat.

Consultant for Hire Producers can avail services of a Consultant from the Film Cell to act as their liaison during shootings.
