Rahul Gandhi alleged the government is not allowing him to speak in Parliament and said the prime minister is terrified of the same.Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said Wednesday he has information proving prime minister Narendra Modi’s personal involvement in corruption. He made the statement while briefing the media along with a delegation of opposition party leaders at the Central Hall in Parliament. He alleged the government is not allowing him to speak in Parliament and said the prime minister is terrified of the same.“We are pretty much unconditionally ready for a debate in Parliament. The government is not allowing me to speak. I have personal information about PM Modi’s corruption. He is personally terrified. He cannot run away from the House,” said Gandhi.“ He has taken a decision against the poor of the country. He owes the country an explanation,” Gandhi told reporters.Although the government said it was ready for a debate and even indicated PM Modi might speak in Lok Sabha, proceedings were disrupted yet again today as the House got adjourned for the day. The winter session of Parliament, that began on November 16 and is scheduled to close Friday, has been a near wash-out with frequent disruptions over the government’s demonetisation move. While the opposition wanted a debate on the issue followed by voting, the government indicated its reluctance to voting.Earlier in Lok Sabha, opposition members raised the row involving corruption allegations against Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju. With members on both the opposition and treasury benches on their feet and raising slogans, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House till noon. But when the protests did not die even after the House reconvened, it was adjourned for the day by the Speaker. PM Modi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh were present in the House. BJP, AAP ask why Rahul Gandhi isn’t revealing what the damaging info is that he has on PM.
