MFL Launches 100-Day Intensified TB Elimination Campaign

:by Abul Hasan: On January 13, 2025, Madras Fertilizers Limited (MFL) kicked off an ambitious 100-day Intensified Campaign aimed at eliminating tuberculosis (TB) through its Startup Program. The event, held at the corporate office in Chennai, marked the company’s strong commitment to public health and corporate social responsibility.
The inaugural program was graced by key figures from MFL, including the esteemed CMD, Manoj Kumar Jain, who addressed the gathering and underscored the company’s resolve to contribute to the national health mission. The event also saw the participation of B. Somu, General Manager-PA, Rama Krishna Raju, DGM-P&A, and Joseph from the CMD’s office, among other senior officials from MFL.
Mohamed Ishak, Manager-IR & Welfare, along with the PRO & Nodal Officer S. Karuppaiah and Gayathri, Dy. Manager-HR, were also in attendance, contributing to the impactful discussions on TB awareness and prevention.
The 100-day campaign is a part of MFL’s dedicated efforts to promote health awareness within its workforce and the surrounding community, aligning with the government’s vision to eliminate TB from India by 2025. Through this initiative, MFL aims to provide critical resources, education, and support to combat the spread of tuberculosis, a disease that remains a major public health challenge globally.
The Startup Program at MFL focuses on bringing together various stakeholders—employees, local communities, and healthcare professionals—to drive awareness and action on TB elimination. It emphasizes early detection, treatment, and public education, critical factors in reducing TB’s prevalence.
