MP Gramodyog Global launched on Gandhi Jayanti Day.
Minister for Cottage & Rural Industries launched the MP GRAMODYOG Global Abhiyaan today in a glittering but somber function organised at Gauhar Mahal, Bhopal. She extolled the people to follow the tenets of Bapu’s favourite song Vaishnav Jan to tene kahiye Jo peed paraayi jaane re.

The Minister also launched the National Khadi Utsav where more than 200 Khadi stalls would place different items on display and sale.
There were a large number of local people enjoying the festive atmosphere at Gauhar Mahal.
Chanderi and Maheshwar artisans were honoured too. A film on Maheshwar weavers was also green lighted by the Minister.

Minister praised the efforts of Principal Secretary Pravir Krishn and his team of officers who in a short period had activated all components of this department which was now doing things with the right focus and speed.

She wished that the benefits of all programs reached the weavers and artisans to help raise their incomes. It’s a matter of great pride to see the hard work being put to restore Gauhar Mahal as a hub of cultural, handicrafts and handloom activities.
